Vision for South LA
A healthier future is possible for South Los Angeles when all men, women and children are empowered and supported to make healthy choices in a resource environment built on equity and justice. A healthy community is an economically- viable and thriving community that is sustainable and socially just; where residents, especially those most marginalized and at risk, businesses, faith organizations, and public institutions agree all people are equal and are working together to achieve systems and policy change through civic engagement.

Our vision is that all residents in South Los Angeles have access to quality-driven, coordinated systems of health, mental health and social services; affordable and healthy housing; neighborhoods free from violence, crime, and environmental pollutants; safe and readily accessible places to play, exercise and relax outdoors; abundant healthy food options; a quality education with access to academic support and personal development; and local employment opportunities that provide stable jobs and meaningful career possibilities.
