Covering Kids & Families - National Network

The National Covering Kids & Families Network (NCKF) sustains and builds upon the collective expertise of grantees from the national CKF initiative, other organizations and partners. The National Covering Kids & Families Network is open to community-based organizations, state and local agencies, children's advocacy groups and coalitions working towards the expansion, simplification and coordination of quality healthcare coverage.

Vision
The vision of the NCKF Network is to be a recognized and effective national voice for improved and increased access to high quality health and healthcare for all.

Mission
The NCKF Network's mission is to bring together organizations and individuals committed to advancing healthcare coverage and equal access to high quality healthcare.

Strategic Direction

  • Build and sustain a network of passionate, engaged members from each state

  • Identify and capitalize on existing strengths and relationships of members

  • Capture and share information, knowledge and expertise

  • Translate real life perspectives,trends and opportunities to develop and advocate common policy priorities

  • Foster and nurture partnerships between key stakeholders
  • Community Health Councils serves as the administrative lead. CHC has been the sponsoring organization for the California Covering Kids & Families project (CKF) and the supporting statewide coalition since 1998.
