Community Health Councils (CHC) is a non-profit, community-based health education and policy organization that was established in 1992. Our ongoing mission is to promote social justice and achieve equity in community and environmental resources.

Community Health Councils is a non-profit, community-based health policy and educational organization. Compensation:
Community Health Councils, Inc. offers competitive salaries compared to other similar non-profit organizations.

Health Benefits:
Community Health Councils, Inc. pays for 100% of the premiums for employees and dependents for basic medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability. Benefits take effect on the first of the month following 30 calendar days of employment. CHC’s basic medical is an HMO Kaiser plan, with the option of electing a PPO.

Vacation and Sick Time:
Community Health Councils, Inc. employees accrue sick time from day 1 of employment and PTO from day 90.

Retirement Plan:
Community Health Councils, Inc. offers a 403(b) retirement savings plan through Mutual of America. CHC matches 100% of an employee’s contributions, up to 4%.

Additional:
Community Health Councils, Inc. offers all employees an HRA card with $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 with dependents to use for out of pocket medical expenses. CHC also offers an FSA card that employees can elect to participate in.

Tuition Reimbursement:
Community Health Councils, Inc. offers partial tuition reimbursement after 12 consecutive months of employment.

Employee health, welfare and retirement benefits cost approximately 14% of CHC’s salaries. The exact percentage spent on any particular employee will vary based on a variety of factors including age and benefit selections. Vacation is not included in this benefit %.
